Roxas' PI word during anti-Cha Cha rally was justified

WARNING: THIS BLOG POST CONTAINS SOME EXPLETIVE WORDS
"Ngayon gusto ni Gloria na baluktutin ang ating Saligang Batas para manatili sa poder... Putang ina, ano ba 'to!"

Those were the words that Senator Mar Roxas said aggressively in front of around 7,000 people who protested against the proposed Charter Change (Cha-Cha) of Mrs. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo through Constituent Assembly.

Yes, the "putang ina" word was quite offensive, but it was justified. Roxas was not able to control his anger of the administration's continued use of Cha-Cha to perpetuate their self-interests. It was a strong-worded speech he made during the rally.

Roxas advocates Cha-Cha through a Constitutional Convention which its delegates would be elected together with the candidates of local and national positions in 2010.

Roxas is already fed up with the administration's ploy to extend Arroyo's term beyond 2010. Yes, Roxas might run for President in 2010. But we should ensure that if we have Cha-Cha, it should be after 2010 and the elections on that date should not be postponed just because of their self-interests.

Roxas' words were the feelings of every Filipino who are also against a Gloria Forever Constitution. He just wasn't able to control his emotions as it were natural.

It's not about the words. It's all about the issue.

Below is the video of Roxas' agressive speech during the anti-Cha-Cha rally in Makati last December 12.

the p.i. comment is not and should never be justified. una sa lahat hindi nya ba alam na "inter-faith rally" yun? tama ba naman mgmura dun. at sya pa na ng a ambisyon na maging presidente ng pilipinas, sasabihin nya yan. i-respeto naman natin kahit konti ang office of the president. kung kaya nyang mgmura sa harap ng maraming tao, pano na lng nya kya lait laitin ang ordinaryong pilipino. yun lang

I do not completely agree with what Roxas had done. This just only shows that he has no 'moral authority' to lead this nation and that he cannot even control his emotions. Or maybe he's just gathering some political noise so that he would be noticed so that his rankings in presidential polls would go up?

Nakakahiya. Ok na sana siya kahit papaano pero sa ipinakita niya, pinatunayan niyang hindi siya karapat-dapat sa bansang ito.

Hi there CJ and J.D. I am thankful for your comments on this issue.

While I disagree with it, I respect your comments. For me, "putang ina" was offensive but it was justified. Senator Mar Roxas is not even sorry with it. The end justifies the means.

If he had not been aggressive, the Palace would not even dare to defend its Cha-Cha.

Until Gloria Arroyo publicly speaks that she is not the one ordering for pushing Cha-Cha, then that Cha-Cha would still have her under the veil.
